Finally see which side of you is the better side. Echoism takes the left and right side of your face and puts them both together. It's an experiment from the artist Julian Wolkenstein.

Everyone who has done it has their photo added to this virtual galleries, which i am sure the artist will use for something.

There is a myth, some say a science, suggesting people who have more symmetrical faces are considered more “attractive “.

If you are made symmetrical, do you consider yourself more beautiful, less so, or is it just weird? Or is it you at all? Do you have a best side? What is to be said of left and right brain dominance?

This is a series of photographic portraits completed in 2010. The subjects were specifically cast for their individual facial features. They were photographed front to camera and in the same position. They were asked not to express emotions or character.

This initial study focusing on facial symmetry, is part of a larger piece revolving around facial features, facial proportions and facial symmetry.

An accompanying website and continuing project titled "Echoism" is at echoism.org

The term Echoism relates to fascial symmetry in its physiognomical sense.

Interesting photography

Most photographers use digital manipulation to tidy up a shot. Change the levels etc. But this guy does everything in camera still. Check out the way he uses colour. Simple but effective.

INSTAGRAM - An app worth getting

Select your filter and share everywhere instantly

This is a nice application that takes the iphone Hipsmatic app one step further. Instagram allows you to share your photographs and location across all your social networks simultaneously. i.e facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Four Square.

The one problem with Hipsmatic is that you had to upload to each social feed separately. This takes time, which a lot of people haven't got.

They want to become the visual Twitter. Which sounds like it could work. That is, if the person taking the photographs is interesting.

If Martin Parr used it, people would follow it. If Dave from Swindon used it... no one would probably follow it.

This could easily run for a brand like Walls to promote their low fat range, if they have one anyway?

Light Art Performance Photography or LAPP for short

Digy Roy found a winner for today’s post yesterday. Welcome to the world of LAPP. This website has got some beautiful uses of the delayed shutter technique. Now, we know light graffiti has up dated this technique. But to us this seems a bit more refined and well, a bit more artistic. There’s also some atmospheric music to listen to as you look through the photos.
