A micro bit inspired

Here's a cool idea from Micro Machines (top photo).

The inspiration must have come from little people street art. The artist puts really small models of people in really big places. We like this.

We're spotting a lot of things that creative types (especially in advertising) have obviously looked at for inspiration. For instance the new Sacia Pesto advert is inspired from Lasse Gjertsen and his Hyperactive beat boxing video. The Think "break dancing bear" was a direct lift from a perception video using a dancing gorilla that went around offices in september last year. There is also an ad out that lifts the Ok Go treadmill dance which we haven't been able to find, but we will.

We seem to be all looking at the same stuff and it all seems to be from Youtube.

At least Sony Play Doh was apparently inspired from a painting.

Film remakes and the Youtube doubler

The Dark Knight Trailer completely in Lego and the Tron motorcycle sequence in stop motion.

To see how closely the Lego version of the Batman trailer matches the official one, go here to see them side by side using this cool idea called the Youtube doubler. You can cut and paste any two clips to run along side each other.

The Yellow Drum Machine

This whizz bang robot wanders round the place and tries to find a surface worth playing a beat on. See it in action here.

Weapons of mass day to day use

How do you like your egg in the morning?

I like mine in the shape of a gun. I also like my mug to double as a knuckle duster, my external hard drives to imitate a bomb, and my girls to understand i like this stuff. I think this means I'm a proper bloke, or at least am trying to be one. However one thing is for sure, i wont hold a girlfriend for long, and will know doubt end up on the 9 o'clock news.

I do have a few problems with these...

1. They are mental
2. They are weird
3 And i love them.

To be honest i would quite happily go with the  AMCE style bomb because there is no bombs that are actually that shape. But i think you could really hurt someone with the mug.

Basically I'm not sure what i really think of these, but I'm sure that is a good place to be (not actually mental, but still a bit of a bloke) .

First the Boom Box now the Bird Box.

We've found this awesome product called the "Bird box".

It's a speaker designed in a bird house shape. What's cool about this is that you could have them situated in communal areas of parks, they could then pick up a bluetooth signal so you could pipe your favourite tunes straight from your phone.

Come on Sony what you waiting for.

Sun Jar

Tobias Wong, the man who brought us the smoking mittens has got some other sweet designs under his belt. The Sun Jar caught our eye as environmentally friendly and pretty kick ass.

Tag Teams

Since the introduction of our new grilling machine there have been a lot of people teaming up for some more adventurous sandwich making. As i mentioned before in an earlier post a toastie machine is a more creative way of eating lunch as well as my weird metaphor for the design department.

At the moment we have designers eating with accounts, creatives with development and other creative teams working together to create a better toasted sandwich. Steak was being grilled the other week!

Could one machine create a more cohesive working agency over lunch! Who knows.

ps. Any interesting toasted sandwiches filling anyone has it, let us know?
