Why have a campaign site....

Can you spot the obvious draw to interact with this Lynx idea? I know, neither could we!

...when you can do it all on social media. Lynx have just done a digital idea on Facebook for their new Twist campaign, ignoring the need for a separate site. This interactive story starring an inbetweener and Keeley is actually much better than the offline elements. Usually it's the other way around with Lynx. Have a go here.

Coca Cola have announced they are going to use social media more instead of have stand alone sites. The articles here. Also, Cravendale are using Twitter as part of their new campaign for Milk Matters.

It's safe to say that if the brand you're working on wants to target young people, there's going to be talk of an idea on Facebook. It's worth having a browse of the new regulations that Facebook has made for brands wanting to create application and competitions. It's not as easy as one might think to use Facebook for an idea.

Have a gander below...

The good stuff found this week

We’ve been wanting to post about the short animation Logorama for a while, however finding a copy of it has been trĂ©s difficult. Go here to see it in HD.
Take fifteen minutes to watch it as it’s probably one of the best animation you’ll see this year. The attention to detail is incredible.

On a funnier note, someone at work stumbled across a website that let’s you create your own headline for the recent Tory party campaign. Old Cameron has been getting a bit of heat for being photoshopped like crazy. We say keep it real my man.

Anyway have fun with it. The link is here.

A bit of happiness

The Happiness machine.

This coke vending machine was placed on a college campus in america, and gave some lucky students more than just a bottle of coke. It's a nice and fun bit of film content. The free sandwich is the best part.

Also, as a bonus Vampire Weekend are streaming their new album from their site.

Have a quick listen now.

Heinz beans on toast pop up cafe

We went down to sample the beans on toast at the new Heinz pop up cafe near us. It was dressed up to look homely, with colouring in books to entertain everyone.

A nice touch is that all the women serving drinks and beans were real mums. There was even some of their childrens art work on the wall. It's got to be real, as mums never lie!

The Beans of toast cafe's exactly location is here. An article from the Mail is here.

It's worth popping down as it's only a 50p donation to go in and eat.

All the information you need is in the email invite at the top.

The best of Vimeo from 2009

Let's kick off the new year with some of the best video's from Vimeo. The links here.

Vimeo seems to be a cooler version of youtube. It's also not plastered with pop up and overlay advertising....yet.

These videos are less babies dancing and cats playing keyboard. Most of them are all slickly produced.
