Webcam face tracking goodness for Toyota.

Head up display takeover

We recently completed a campaign for the launch of the new Toyota Prius.

The image above is the Yahoo full page takeover for the Head-up-display ad. The 'HUD', which we got used to calling it, projects on the drivers windscreen.

The ad gives you an 'in car' experience of the ‘head-up display'. We used webcam face tracking technology so you can move the graphic scene with just your head movements. You can use a mouse though if you computer isn't hooked up to a webcam.

Take a look and have a play here.

The Puma index

This is a novel idea for Puma. The male and female models take their clothes off as the stock markets go down. So when the stock markets crash the models get down to their underwear. Very clever. Very engaging. Take a look here.

It's good that it's an idea that links into a subject that is very current news. Admittedly, it does have a hint of what Uniqlo are doing but it's still a decent enough way to showcase Puma's entire range of clothing.

Some 'lateral' ways of solving a problem.

Is there a point when we’re just going to lose track?

I was thinking about my ‘digital life’ this morning. All the websites and social utilities I use on a day today basis or now and again.

So I started to list them…

Facebook
Netvibes
Flickr
Ebay
Nike +

Then I looked at my bookmark bar and knew this list wasn’t going to be a small one.

So, I continued.

Myspace
Yahoo mail
Itunes account
Nokia music store account
Skyfire
Hotmail
Igoogle
Amazon
Paypal
My online bank account
Nokia Ovi file sharing
Qik video sharing
Digg
Youtube
1,2,3 Reg
Blogger
Ticketmaster
Last minute
Chain reaction cycles

As you can see there’s a lot. This isn’t even including all the email and RSS feeds I’m subscribed to.

There’s so much here and I seem to be signing up to more and more as the weeks go by.

I almost feel like I’ll keep signing up to websites and services and not know which one to use.

Shall I use Facebook or Myspace? Ovi or Flickr? Netvibes or igoogle, Last minute or Ticketmaster?

It's like I’m being spread too thin online. Where do I focus my attention? I've got all these services at my disposal and now i'm not sure which one to use.

Wouldn't it be good if they all just merged into one supreme website? And you got one user name and password and all of these websites functions.

Facebook connect seems to be the start of this idea. It's already started to be implemented into other platforms. It's quite basic at the moment, but i'm sure it will get more advanced.

Could we co-join everywhere we go online?

Hopefully someone will figure it out and then i might be able to get my 'digital life' back on track.

Bagel time!

Possibly one of the best things near us is the bagel shops down brick lane. The salt beef bagels in particular. It's hard to find something as good as this for lunch.

The breads fresh and they pile on the beef! If you're ever in the area we recommending stopping off to try one.

It puts you in a good mood for the afternoon.

Beatles mania still exists

40 years on and the now famous location for the Abbey road album cover still gets alot of visitors. It's funny to see the amount of people trying to recreate the famous walk of the fab four.

This might be a photo to take in the near future.

The history of flight

This is one for the trainer geeks out there. This microsite is all about the trainers of Michael Jordan. From his rookie days in 84 all the way up to his 3rd retirement in 2003.

The most iconic of the range has to be the early designs as they were all pretty advanced for the 80s. The IV's stand out as the coolest of the lot.

The animation is really engaging and it's interesting to see where the inspiration came from for each trainer design.

You can also relive some of the best adverts from the 80s and 90s. Nice.

Coldplay these music videos

Strawberry Swing

Life in Technicolour

It's hard not to like the latest music video from Coldplay. The humour and the craft is spot on. Their last offering, Life in Technicolour was equally as good.

Maybe it's a good thing that Coldplay are too busy to appear in their own video's.
